Last Updated: May 29, 2026

PolicyMatcher is a brand operated by Marketcall Inc, a California corporation ("we," "us," "our"). This page describes the additional privacy rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA/CPRA"). For our full Privacy Policy, please visit our Privacy Policy page.

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In connection with operating the PolicyMatcher marketplace, we collect the following categories of personal information, as defined under the CCPA/CPRA:

  • Identifiers: Name, postal address, email address, phone number, IP address, and similar contact identifiers collected from consumers submitting insurance inquiries and from licensed insurance agents registering for accounts;
  • California Customer Records (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80): Name, address, telephone number, and for Agents, business and financial account information used to fund prepaid account balances (payment data processed by third-party payment processors);
  • Commercial information: For Agents, records of account funding transactions, call and lead purchases, and campaign settings;
  • Internet or other electronic network activity: Browsing behavior on PolicyMatcher.com, including pages viewed, referral source, and interaction with advertisements;
  • Geolocation data: Approximate location derived from IP address at the time of inquiry submission or site visit;
  • Inferences: Profiles drawn from the above data to understand insurance interests and match consumers with appropriate Agents.

We collect this information directly from users, automatically through cookies and tracking technologies, and from advertising platforms that direct traffic to our site. For full details, see Section 2 of our Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use and Disclose Personal Information

We use personal information to operate the PolicyMatcher marketplace: matching consumer insurance inquiries with licensed independent Agents, processing Agent account billing, measuring advertising performance, and improving our services. We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for business purposes:

  • Licensed independent insurance agents and agencies (Agents) who purchase calls or leads through the marketplace;
  • Payment processors;
  • Telephony and call-routing service providers;
  • Advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta/Facebook);
  • Analytics and tag management providers (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics);
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure vendors.

We do not sell personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own independent commercial use. However, under the CCPA/CPRA, sharing personal information with advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and you have the right to opt out as described below.

3. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed it.

Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information needed to complete a transaction you requested, to comply with a legal obligation, or to detect security incidents).

Right to Correct

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale / Sharing

You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. To opt out, email us at info@policymatcher.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" and provide your name and the email address or phone number associated with your interaction with PolicyMatcher.com.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

To the extent we collect sensitive personal information (as defined under CPRA), you have the right to request that we limit its use to purposes authorized under the CPRA.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. Exercising these rights will not affect the price or quality of services you receive, except where a difference is reasonably related to the value of your data to the service (e.g., opting out of personalization may result in less relevant Agent matches).

4. How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information, or to opt out of sale/sharing, contact us using one of the methods below. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable consumer request, as required by law, and may extend this period by an additional 45 days where necessary with notice.

To verify your request, we will ask you to provide information we can match against our records, such as your name, email address, and/or phone number that you provided in connection with an insurance inquiry or Agent account.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require written authorization signed by you and will verify your identity directly before processing requests submitted by an authorized agent.
